Hardy Landscaping was engaged to supply a wheelchair accessible playground at the popular Fred’s Pass showgrounds.  The project scope included preparation earthworks, landscaping, concrete pathways, supply and installation of playground equipment with access for wheelchairs. 

Our team consisting of 1 supervisor and 2 labourers worked around and through the wet season to finish the project.  The project came with challenges.  Firstly, it was wet season and we had to work with the allowances the weather dictated.  Secondly, the site dimensions were different than indicated, for which we amended the design.  Finally, the terrain was rocky which complicated the installation of the synthetic turf. We adjusted the design and installed rubber softfall to the rocky areas which also solved the dimension problem.  The project was completed and delivered on time and budget. 

Site safety and WHS were diligently applied and the project was completed without any incidents and injury to workers.
